America was founded as a Christian nation in the sense that our government structure, laws, moral principles, and early culture were deeply shaped by Christianity and by the Christian faith of our Founding Fathers who put their trust in Jesus Christ.
Our nation has largely forgotten the God who blessed us, and has turned away from Him. Though we fail to live as a Christian nation today, my prayer is that these quotes and historical accounts will remind us of the Lord’s gracious hand upon America, stir our hearts to seek Him again, and inspire us to return to Him with humility, repentance, and faith.
